USE OF THE PRODUCT

How often do I apply the product?
Apply UV SkinCare Facial Light Sunscreen in the morning as part of your daily routine or before any sun exposure.  While in the sun, reapply every two hours and after swimming or excessive perspiration.

How much do I apply?
For facial application, use enough to fully cover the face.  Start with a dollop about the size of a dime, gently rub it in, and let it dry.  For full body applications, a good rule of thumb is 1 1/4 ounces.  

Do I wash it off?
You should wash the product off at the end of the day.

Can I use UV SkinCare Facial Light Sunscreen like a normal sunscreen? 
Yes, usage is the same as a “normal” sunscreen. However, this formulation delivers immediate and consistent protection and won’t degrade like most conventional sunscreens.

How long will a tube last?
The product comes in a 4 ounce tube, so an estimated use up rate for daily use (face and arms only) would be about 2 months. You would get about 4 full body applications from one tube.

Is the formula OK for sensitive skin?
Yes, this formula is perfect for sensitive skin.  It is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, oil-free, and fragrance-free.

Will the product moisturize my skin?
Yes, the formula contains natural skin conditioners that nourish and help to maintain the natural moisture balance of the skin.

Why does UV SkinCare Facial Light Sunscreen contain vitamins? Does it contain Vitamin A?
New UV SkinCare Facial Light Sunscreen is enriched with potent anti-oxidants to help prevent skin damage and reduce UV-induced redness. No, it does not contain Vitamin A which may have negative effects on the skin.

How do the anti-oxidants work?
They inhibit oxidation and act as free-radical scavengers which helps reduce UV skin damage and help promote anti-aging.

Why is UV SkinCare Facial Light Sunscreen Oxybenzone-free?
Oxybenzone is responsible for some stinging some individuals experience when using sunscreen. In addition, oxybenzone is now thought by some to have the potential to cause cancer.  Skin Health Technology has chosen to formulate our products without oxybenzone, whenever possible.

What is Canadian Willowherb?
Canadian Willowherb is an anti-oxidant that helps reduce the formation of free radicals on the skin, reduce erythema (redness,) and reduce inflammation. It also inhibits the growth of bacteria on the skin—particularly the bacteria that causes acne.

What does 35 SPF mean?
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. The Sun Protection Factor is the rating of how much UVB sunburn protection the product provides.

What do the UVA stars mean?
This product has been tested based upon upcoming standards that will soon be introduced by the Food and Drug Administration.  The FDA has not yet finalized the sunscreen monograph, which will include a rating system for UVA protection when it is implemented. The FDA has released a methodology that we believe will be the new standard--one which incorporates STARS to indicate the level of UVA protection a product provides. We have tested this product according to these STAR standards.

Why is UV SkinCare Facial Light Sunscreen considered broad spectrum?
It provides both UVA and UVB sun protection. In fact-- the HIGHEST—FOUR STAR UVA sunscreen power available with HIGH 35 SPF--UVB protection.
